Howdy! I’m the Quality Assurance Coordinator for CHOICE Employment Services in Decorah. I also do respite work for Circle of Life Missions, Strawberry Point. I love reading, researching, bargain shopping, shooting the blarney, and volunteering with various local nonprofits. My deep love for Volga and VCTC stems from growing up since age two in this small, enchanted village where people knew and cared for everyone. It has always been a memory-making place, especially with the Opera House as the primary landmark and entertainment center. I’m so delighted to help others make memories in Volga by assisting VCTC in bringing in a wide spectrum of top-notch events for all ages and by creating new entertainment venues that complement the amenities of the Opera House. - Kimberly Jo Hurley

Event Host, Volga City Diesel Show & Earlville Takeover
I host/founder of Volga City Diesel Show and Earlville Takeover with more to come. I enjoy diesel performance and shows, most of my summer consists of working for PCI moving dirt and traveling to diesel shows all over the states. Interests are being on the river, Lake of the Ozarks, boating, truck/car shows, sled pulls, anything that involves power and burnouts! I’m glad to be partnered with VCTC because 9 years ago my shows were in parking lots and always got hassled. VCTC helped these events by giving me the place of paradise to allow my show to grow. In 7 years, we have grown to nearly 700 people and are now two days. The behind the scenes support from VCTC is amazing, always striving to build and take all shows to the next level.
